Beauty is not all about having a beautiful face. My mom always taught me how important inner beauty is. No matter who you are or what you look like, being beautiful inside is important. She said, you can be as beautiful as can be. However, if you are mean and not a beautiful person on the inside, people will not see you as beautiful on the outside. And vice versa. If you are not as beautiful as they come, however you are a beautiful person on the inside, you will be beautiful in others’ eyes. So simple.
My I-Beauty blog posts will encompasses many facets. I will share all I can on how to be a beautiful, nice, authentic, confident, good person. Yes, taking care of yourself is super important and I am an extreme advocate of always trying to transform yourself, be healthy, and look your absolute best, for you. And to never give up, no matter your age. My opinion on that will never change. However, in addition to always looking your best, never forget the importance of being nice, being humble and treating people with respect. Treating people as you would like to be treated. Strive to be the best person you can be.
You know, I used to watch all the seasons of the show Top Model, with Tyra Banks, have you seen? Well, Tyra, supports what my mom said in that, this was a ‘modelling competition’ and yet I saw Tyra send girls home because even though they had an absolutely beautiful face, if they had no personality, no energy or life inside, they were eliminated. How important for younger girls to see this, and well, for anyone to see this really, that a good personality is required in life, even if you are as beautiful as a model. I think younger girls believe that all they need is to be beautiful and they can be a top model. Ya, I’m sure that happens. However, it also isn’t always the case. Working at the modelling agency, I would take young models to meet model scouts from around the world. The model would sit down and show the scout their ‘book’ or portfolio. The scouts wouldn’t just look at their pretty pictures, they talked to them, asked questions, really wanting to get a sense of the models personality and who they were. They were looking for that shining light inside. For the models that had a beautiful face and a personality, wow, let me tell you, talk about power. Incredible. When they also had a charming personality, the scout was like putty in their hands.
But I digress, the point of that story is, it doesn’t matter what you look like, I-Beauty is so important. To be a nice person. Be a good person. Everyone is attracted to that. Stay tuned for more.
